  • Do You Love Your Work?
    Mar 1 2021

Shaina’s own professional journey inspired her desire to help others struggling to find their own career path.

After graduating with a degree in education and working a few good jobs in her field, she realized that she needed to find something better suited for her.

After years of research and training with a mentor, Shaina discovered career coaching.

She found that it was not only a good fit for her skills and interests but also for her lifestyle.

Having children to care for made  working from home was a necessity.

Shaina stresses that when deciding on a career it is just as important to consider life and external obligations as it is to think about skills, interests, and personality.

Deciding on a career is a difficult task made more so by the fact that the skills and life of an eighteen-year-old will be wildly different from those of a thirty-year-old.

Shaina believes that people should receive career-focused guidance and assistance at multiple  points in their careers rather than only viewing it as a one-time requirement.

Take Shaina’s free personality-focused career quiz is featured on her website (link below) and start determining the perfect career for you.

  • Find Your Professional Path with Michael Alan Tate
    Jan 12 2020

Michael was trained by, best-selling author of What Color is Your Parachute, Richard Nelson Bolles.

Here are some points to consider when experiencing a career change:

    • How do you know this is the final stop for you or if you're on the road to somewhere else?
    • What would you do even for free?
    • Find the right fit inside of organizations or leave on good terms.
    • Take the time to introspect and look back at your career legacy, there's a list of what your family has done for you.
    • Research what makes you feel alive and what drains your energy?
    • There is no real job system that's filled by resumes, most jobs are filled by word of mouth and referrals.
    • Don't go it alone! Two is better that one.
    • Follow your ears not your heart. What language to you like to be around, what do you like to hear?
