  • Summary

  • This week, Britt takes us through some heart-wrenching man-made disasters.

    • Option 1: The Bhopal Disaster In the early hours of December 3, 1984, the city of Bhopal in India became the site of the world's worst industrial disaster. A lethal gas leak at the Union Carbide pesticide plant released over 40 tons of methyl isocyanate gas, exposing over half a million people to toxic chemicals.
    • Option 2: The Aberfan Disaster On October 21, 1966, the small Welsh village of Aberfan endured an unimaginable tragedy when a colliery spoil tip collapsed onto the Pantglas Junior School and nearby houses.
    • Option 3: The Lac-Mégantic Rail Disaster Late on July 6, 2013, Lac-Mégantic, a small town in Quebec, Canada, was devastated when an unattended 74-car freight train carrying crude oil rolled down an incline, derailed, and exploded in the town center.

Tune in as Britt explores the lessons learned and the memories preserved from these dark chapters in human history.

Remember- we don't want to f*ck, marry, or kill any of the subjects we discuss. It's all hypothetical and all in good fun! In most cases, it's also physically impossible.
