Hello Manic Podast Dream Nerds!!

Welcome back to another episode of mayhem and magic!!

In the What's Going On section of today's podcast, I am in my fandom feels just as I like it. Between House of the Dragon, LOST, and this week's podcast topic Star Wars The Acolyte, there's so much to watch and enjoy!!

I'm reading Star Wars The High Republic: Light of the Jedi by Charles Soule for my Star Wars Book Club on Goodreads! Come on over, we are always excited to welcome new members!

And for my Summer Book Court Reading Group, I just finished Where the Crawdads Sing and Juliet Takes a Breath. I'm excited to ship those to their new homes.

Now for the meat and potatoes of today's episode! My special guest today is my dear friend, Tim. Who I have been podcasting with on and off for about 8 years over on the Random Chatter Network. We can normally be found discussing the MCU, but today we are talking Star Wars.

There's a lot of controversy surrounding Star Wars The Acolyte, but spoiler alert...
Tim and I are quite united in our love and adulation for this show. The action, the casting, the lore, the lightsabers... what's not to love?!

Welcome back to the Manic Podcast Dream Girl!

This week's intro will seem out of place in the mad cap, fun times that we've had previously. But it being The 4th of July and politics being what they are AND being in an unprecedented election cycle... again, it is my duty to talk about it and use my platform to discuss a little politics. No matter how "impolite" it may be to discuss at the dinner table!

If you're looking for an alternative reason to celebrate this July 4th, consider my mother's birthday a worthy place holder. And raise a glass to her instead! ;)

Mental health and how Covid has effected us. Adult diagnoses. The P word... Puberty. And that the writing staff on this movie was overwhelmingly women. Which is refreshing.

Welcome to the Manic Podcast Dream Girl!!

Today in my ramblings I'm discussing the return of weekly distributed televion and House of the Dragon. Weekly episodes are where it's at and thank goodness a bunch of the shows I'm currently watching, House of the Dragon, Star Wars The Acolyte and Doctor Who all have weekly dropped episodes. It gives my obsessive, vortex brain a break from the binge watching cycle!! Cause Lord knows I don't have the willpower if the episodes are out!

What I'm reading: Summer Sisters by Judy Blume.
A dear Instagram friend, Tara, and a member of my Summer Book Court sent me this book and it is the perfect read for summer!!

What I'm watching: Besides House of the Dragon, Bridgerton on replay, The Acolyte and Doctor Who, I'm also rewatching one of my favorite shows of all time Revenge. Available to watch on Hulu. This was a show released in the summer on ABC and it one I rewatch every summer. It is the vibes!!

For the meat and potatoes of this week's episode, I enlisted my friend Sheba to help me debrief and process my feelings about the drop of Bridgerton Season 3 Part 2.
And there are a lot of feelings to process!!

Even though we certainly take time to air out grievances, let me just say that overall I was very happy with Season 3 and have thouroughly enjoyed being entrenched in the Bridgerton Vortex.
