    It's Dinner (lady) Time!

We're joined by one third of Merseyside's lunch-themed sextet Pete Bentham and the Dinner Ladies this week, and what a visit it was!

We deep dive into the trend of wearing the merch of left wing bands whilst being a right wing piece of garbage, we dissect the Rebellion Festivals booking of The Wurzels, hear about how the Dinnerettes craft their choreography and we disclose a village in Warwickshire's top shagger.

Tom asks all the big questions about cosplaying, Danny Barrett shares his nerdy day out and we discuss what happens when you head to the wrong town for a gig.

Music this time is provided by: WIZO, The Winonas, Healer of Bastards, The Hawaiians and The Aquabats.

We're on a highway to Hull this week as we're joined by the kings of The Humber, Zero Cost!

They have their debut full length out later this year on Engineer Records and they tease us with some details about their record release show. We also discuss rural crime, a homage using a "huh", the worst time to have a bath, water storage within one's self and a lot more.

Danny Barrett furnishes us with another top 5 punk songs, Tom hears a heart breaking story about a man whose illness prevents him from listening to the pod and we finally get around to discussing our views on "ska for BBQs", Sublime.

Music this week comes from: The Dirtbombs, Headaches, Dead Kennedys, Rivalry and The Overbites.

    Boss La! and all that.

It's time for another Tom On One this week where I take my years of psychology experience, which I got from watching Frasier, and grill a lone punk rocker about their journey through the genre and beyond.

This week it's the turn of Garreth Hirons, bass maestro from Merseyside's angry speed daemons, Code Break!

Mr H has some very eclectic song choices to keep you on your toes. We also discuss his honeymoon, covid employment practices, an English brewery in Tokyo and much more.

Sweary Jon's regular question finally comes back to bite him on the arse, so enjoy that.

Music comes from: Chixdiggit, The Bucky Bombs, Rocket From The Crypt, Dirtbombs, Guitar Wolf and The Chats.

How Do? Goo, West Yorkshire's finest indie-pop-punk rockers are in today. Well, one of them is as they've just got back from tour and they're all full of germs.

Kurt, the drummer, has stepped up to the plate though and explains to us: the joy of 7"s, the motivational power of dividing your work day into quarters when hungover, a curry conundrum and delayed christmas clear-ups.

Bazz has created a new segment which is about haircuts this time, Tom's been out and about in Peterborough and we reveal our list of weird names for the remote control as compiled by you, the listeners.

Music is from: Sublime, Mutiny, Los Fatso Libres, AFI, The Clash and Joyce Manor

The Remote Controls are in this week ahead of them being buried alive by snow as we spoke!

It's straight up punk rock from these three, no messin'. We talk drinking culture, smoking culture, dream opening slots and, of course, their two full length records, the newest of which (Too Tough) came out late last year. And, you can get it from Brassneck Records, apparently.

Danny Barrett takes his new place in the co-host chair for his maiden voyage, so go easy on him, because I didn't.

Songs this week come from: The Vandals, unpolished*, Buzzcocks, Billy Bragg and Grail Guard.

    Jan 9 2026

    Send a text

Yam Oroight? Another Tom On One for you all this week, and the "one" is none other than Healer of Bastard's very own bass player, Al Lowe!

Al is a full on west midlander, with the voice and everything so Tom is very happy to be amongst his people.

We discuss key musical moments from Al's life: From when he turned greeb as a teen, all the way through to when he turned 30.

SERIOUS WARNING: There's some quite graphic injury detail, so if you're squeamish or listening with kids (you shouldn't be, it's quite sweary) then maybe skip the skateboarding segment.

We also reminisce about songs the pandemic gave us, build Al's ultimate bass trio, hear about millionaires after free stuff and just who did Al name his cat after?

Songs this week are from: Green Day, Guttermouth, Grail Guard, NOFX, Pears and Bad Religion.

  • Punks on Film: The Great Rock 'n Roll Swindle- Part 2
    Dec 21 2025

    Send a text

The swindle continues in the second part of our festive magnum opus: The complete deconstruction of 1980s highest grossing movie (about the Sex Pistols) "The Great Rock 'n Roll Swindle".

Danny Barrett off The Crash Mats and Eddie French off Punk Rock Elite Podcast are still in and Danny is revealing himself to be a Sex Pistols expert as we move through.

This half has changing nationalities, a trip to Brazil, a talking dog, a French resistance fighter (probably) and of course, more flaccid cocks.

Merry Christmas Everyone. See you in 2026.
