She went on to lead the MBA program and admissions at Mississippi State University before spending ten years as a Head Consultant in MBA admissions for Veritas Prep, where she specialized in helping military applicants apply to business school.

Emily is a member of the Association of International Graduate Admissions Consultants (AIGAC) and the National Career Development Association (NCDA), where she also served as the Veterans Committee Chair for three years. She is a Certified Career Services Provider (CCSP) and Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF).
