  • Episode 113 - Garbage Pail Kids - "How Are You Gross?"

    Joe and Todd take a trip into the deepest, darkest parts of their childhood as they watch Garbage Pail Kids: The Movie. They talk about Todd's current connection to the Garbage Pail Kids, Mackenzie Astin's famous family and the director's pedigree. Joe talks about the music career of Anthony Newley (Captain Mancini) and how getting this movie was kept secret from Mackenzie Astin's parents. They attempt to clean up the plot of the movie to make it a bit better and they discuss how people in 80's movies were fine with murdering children. Joe reveals the resumes of the people who played the Garbage Pail Kids and their connections to previously covered Miscast Commentary Movies. They discuss some of the formulas in 80's film including the young man/old man relationship and young man meets monster. Production issues are discussed including a lack of air conditioning that caused the actors in costume to overheat. They question the production designer's motivation with some lazy sets and try to pitch new Garbage Pail Kids Characters. Jo talks about voice actor Jim Cummings, who voiced two of the Garbage Pail Kids, and his Major animated roles.

  • Episode 112.5 - Coming Attractions - Bar Fights, Bethesda and a New Bond

    Joe and Todd relish the fact that they are five years into the podcast and Joe makes an announcement regarding his involvement on Dueling Decades as well as a radio play. Todd talks about some unfortunate incidents in bars. Joe describes the closest thing to a fight he was in back in middle school. They discuss the purchase of Bethesda by Microsoft and Todd reveals that his latest Celebrity Crush is Janelle Monae. They find a way to compare John Mayer and Pete Davidson. Todd recounts a table read of Fast Times at Ridgemont High, including the performances by Shia Laboeuf and the Brad Pitt/Jennifer Aniston reunion. Joe comes to terms with his obsession with Donald Glover. They cover Henry Cavill and Ben Affleck's return to the DCEU and Todd shares his concerns about Tom Cruise going to space, but Joe has a theory. They lay out the plagues underway that may prove the existence of God in their minds. Joe has a preliminary review of the Audiobook for A Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes and then compare books to the movie Adaptations, specifically looking at Ready Player One. Joe shares his feelings about his local movie theatres playing a small lineup of films across all of their screens, removing the classic films they had been playing prior to the release. They announce next week's movie and their instant regret for picking it (which I promise makes it a better episode). Joe has a confession for Todd regarding their previous stream together on Twitch. They announce new plans for Binge Watchers on the Wall.

  • Episode 112 - The Goonies - "Short Duk Dong"

    The guys start off Season 5 on an adventure with the classic film, The Goonies! Todd explains where his idea for this movie came from, Joe talks about the time that he encountered Robert Davi and they reveal which horror actress almost played Andy. They discuss Corey Feldman and his issues with not being Jason after his stint in the Friday the 13th Series. Joe discusses the connections between the cast and crew on other films and tries to locate Astoria on the map. Joe makes an observation about Mikey's parents getting a maid and they address Corey Feldman's abuse allegations. They pitch their idea for the sequel where an adult group of Goonies is faced with a new adventure and Joe points out a Gremlins reference. They discuss Cyndi Lauper's Soundtrack song. They discuss the chemistry of the Fratelli Family and the guys make connections between this movie and Stephen King's IT. Joe reveals the genesis of the Two Coreys. Joe reveals what famous show was shot on the same stage as this movie and then Joe goes on a long walk to explain why that show shot at the Warner Brothers Lot when isn't a Warner Brothers show. They reveal the identity of the extras playing parents at the end and Todd shares way too much information. Joe shares the epilogue of the novelization of the movie to reveal the fate of Sloth. Joe teaches a little Maritime law to unveil who the proper owner of the treasure is. Joe shares a scary story of an arsonist.
