  • Ep.34 Powerful Tools for Family Finances BYU Women's Conference 2024
    Jul 5 2024

In this special episode, I am excited to share a recap of my presentation at the BYU Women’s Conference in May 2024. It was an incredible experience, and I am thrilled to bring these valuable financial principles to you.

During my talk at the conference, I highlighted the importance of setting your financial house in order, drawing inspiration from both scripture and modern-day prophets. I emphasized that understanding and learning financial principles is crucial for making better financial decisions. Sharing personal anecdotes from my own experiences growing up in Brazil and the financial mistakes I made early on, I stressed the need for financial literacy and responsible money management.

I outlined four key principles that can change your financial course:

Principle 1: Understand and Learn Financial Principles: Observe, learn, and teach money management within your family.

Principle 2: Teach Our Families: Engage your kids in financial discussions, teach them to earn, save, give, and spend wisely

Principle 3: Achieve Debt Freedom: Pay Off Debt Quickly and Avoid New Debt

Principle 4: Experience Temporal and Spiritual Blessings

By embracing these principles, you can reduce anxiety, increase spiritual receptivity, and gain the freedom to choose how to use your resources. I concluded with encouraging words, reminding everyone that small, consistent efforts can lead to significant financial blessings, allowing us to serve others and build a secure financial future.

  • Ep.32 BEFORE Establishing your Financial Goals Pay Attention to this
    Apr 18 2024

In this week's episode, we discuss the importance of balance in various aspects of our lives as a foundation for establishing our vision and achieving financial well-being.

Drawing from my study with Professor Pedro Calabrês' current course - "Intelligence for Results Formation," we explore the seven recommended balances we should aim for to increase our success in making progress in life, including becoming good with money and achieving financial freedom and prosperity.

Here are the 7 areas that he (and science) recommend we need to take care of first so that we can perform at our best:

    1. Circadian Rhythm
    2. Movement (and Exercise)
    3. Nutritional
    4. Emotional
    5. Interpersonal
    6. Intellectual
    7. Spiritual

What caught my attention the most was the circadian rhythm, of which I had no knowledge before his classes. He emphasizes the impact of maintaining a consistent daily routine aligned with the sun's cycle — meal times, waking up and sleeping at approximately the same time, exercising and moving, and getting some sunlight.

We also highlight the value of surrounding ourselves with supportive relationships and engaging in activities that challenge and stimulate personal growth, which will directly affect the health of our minds.

We encourage you to reflect on your habits and attitudes, identifying areas for improvement to enhance your overall well-being so that you can progressively become the person you want to be. The best part is that, by prioritizing these seven balances, we will cultivate a more harmonious and purposeful life, not only in our financial life but also in our overall happiness.
