  • Mormon Tithing Class-Action Lawsuit Explained! - Plaintiffs Allege Fraud | Ep. 1920
    Jul 22 2024

In this episode, we will dive deep into the unfolding legal action surrounding The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church) and its financial practices. Multiple lawsuits alleging fraud over tithing will be consolidated into a high-stakes class action case, accusing the church and its investment arm, Ensign Peak Advisors, of misleading members about the use of their donations. We will break down the complexities of the case, exploring how plaintiffs from across the nation are coming together to challenge the church's financial transparency and demand accountability for what they claim is a multibillion-dollar "slush fund." • High-Ranking Leader Leaves Mormon Church: The Second Anointing | Ep. 1919
    Jul 19 2024

As part of our mini-series on Mormonism's Second Anointing Ritual, we are re-releasing part of Hans and Birgitta's original interview discussing their participation in this exclusive ceremony. Hans H. Mattsson is a 3rd generation LDS church member from Sweden who served as a bishop and stake president in Sweden before serving in the LDS church 3rd Quorum of the Seventy from 2000-2005 in the Europe Central area under LDS Apostle L. Tom Perry. After discovering troubling information about the Church's history and truth claims, the Mattssons, along with many Swedish saints wanted answers, leading up to the Church's infamously poor attempt to keep them in the fold, now known as "the Swedish Rescue."

Real Conversations

Everyone is at a different place in their journey relative to this religious community. The guests on this podcast are all so brave to share their stories. I recommend listening at 1.7 or 2.0 speed because many participants think and share slowly but intentionally, episodes are long, and there's a lot of content. I love the emphasis on informed consent and respecting people of all different backgrounds and experiences.

Great for believers and post Mormons alike.

This podcast covers all aspects of church history, culture, impact and doctrine. The early episodes focus more on how to maintain the faith in view of all the history and facts we were never told by the church, later episodes have a great focus on the impact the church and its truth claims, culture and politics have on members and ex-members.
To any believing members reading this, despite what you may hear, the facts presented in this podcast are accurate and verifiable, people can and do disagree about the interpretations, but faith is the hope of things that are *true*, faith in inaccurate history will not save anyone.

Great Stories & Fact-finding

I love the LDS discussion episodes especially. They are put together very well and offer a fair insight into the history and truth claims of the church. I appreciate the unbiased way they offer information from church works and help connect dots. I wholeheartedly believe if the mission that John Dehlin states often - not to persuade members to leave the church, but to ensure they have informed consent.

The Epitome of Anti-Mormon Literature

John Dehlin lost his faith and wants you to too. He is one of the devil’s most effective helpers. He and his associates pounce on everyone they can find who is wavering in their faith and seeks to destroy them and take down others with their deceit, while offering them absolutely nothing.
Jesus asked, “Will ye also go away?”
“From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.
Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?
Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.”

Bleeding babbling about stuff the guy doesn’t believe in.

Why wastes their time devoting so much to tearing down a faith. Boring performance, boring topic, waste of your time. If you want to know if a religion is true… ask God.
