  • Sheffield Coffee Festival: The coffee connoisseurs
    Jun 21 2024

In our second episode recorded at our launch event at Marmadukes during Sheffield Coffee Festival, we're joined by a couple of coffee connoisseurs.

Host Tim Nye chats to Rosie Lowery from La Marzocco - who make some of the finest coffee equipment on the market - and Tom Snelling, Head of Coffee at Marmadukes.

Among other things, they discuss what role the right mug or cup plays in the coffee drinking experience and introduce us to their favourite cups from their personal collection.

Mug Stories launches with two episodes recorded during Sheffield Coffee Festival in June 2024, with the first of two episodes recorded in front of a small audience at Marmadukes on Cambridge Street.

Host Tim Nye is joined by two guests from the world of making cups and mugs - Amanda Lakin from Lakin Jones Gallery and Abi Motais from Bare Ceramics.

They talk about the trends in ceramics and try to answer the existential question of what defines whether something is a mug or cup, as well as telling Tim about their own personal favourite cups.
