    Janae is an American Singer /Songwriter born and raised in Tarboro, North Carolina. Singing since the age of five, Janae's talent was first discovered by her mother. She then went on to sing in various church choirs, singing groups, talent shows, and worship teams. Growing up around gospel music, Janae was able to fine tune her singing talents, while listening to such contemporary gospel artists as Kierra Sheard, Tasha Cobbs, and Tamela Mann.    Janae's big break came in 2010 as she performed on the popular BET television show "How Sweet the Sound." That performance inspired Janae to audition for another show, X-Factor in 2011 and 2013. I
