In this episode I go deep. I share with you a medical journey I took that actually happened about a year ago. But it took me this long to muster up the courage to share it. This journey was a rocky and tumultuous path. But I am happy to say I am on the other side of it, and I am still here and thriving!

I learned so much by watching my own Mother's cancer battle, which ultimately led to her death. It opened my eyes to a whole new way of how to handle yourself when you are sick. It lit a fire in me to take more control over my own health, a new way of thinking. I turned inward to really analyze what I am doing (or not doing) to make myself healthy on a daily basis.

And I promised myself I would be inspired and share what I learned from her death to honor her life. No one should have to die of this terrible disease. No one should have to lose their mother, sister, aunt, or wife to cancer, years before it is their time to go. If you have lost a loved one to cancer, then you know exactly what I am talking about.

What if we could prevent it? What if we could heal it ourselves? Everything I do, I hope to share real information to help real people, one podcast at a time. In fact, this is the first episode of Season 3 in which I am calling "Food School. " I am going to bust open the food pyramid and turn the USDA food system on its head. Call me disruptive, say that I am rocking the boat, or risky but I don't care! Somebody needs to do it. It's going to be me. So, buckle up and let's dive in!
