    Though her decision may be harsh to some it is a decision she has to make in order to remain free.

    Final lines of the story also suggest the hypocrisy of society, which briefly considers “cutting” him for his care for a “woman of doubtful repute”—but then “did not.”!

    This is a story of two boys: one studies books about languages and other is idle. Other boy has one quality, he sees at people's faces and tells about what're their problems etc..

    It tries to reinforce the idea that books and knowledge from books is not true wisdom.

As wealthy man dies instead of the Blindman, it almost gives a sense of justice as he already has to put up with a lot from the other side of society. In “The Blindman”, when the accident happens Kate Chopin builds up the tension by using alliteration and colons to speed it up which makes the story tense...

The narrator sits at small table with two vacant chairs.Everything begins when a man,who calls himself “cosmopolite”, enters the café and takes one of the chairs. He tells that he had traveled around the world and knows all about multiple countries. But at the end the narrator concludes that the man is not a cosmopolite.
