EP 10: Why is it so hard to let go of something? | My World Through My Words by Jyothsna @liborioconti Hello and Namaste, welcome to the podcast series ‘My World through my words’ by MS Chronicles. Today we will discuss something which is sometimes hard for all of us, And that’s letting go. Have you ever felt why is it so hard to let go of something? In our life, there are some things which are very hard to let go of, such as an object, a pet , a human and some of their memories, and it could be anything which is very close to our heart. Everyday , we meet so many new people, and we understand their value after they leave our life. But there are some people with whom we cannot live apart. The attachment will be so strong that you can't live without them in your life. The emotional attachment is something which all humans have towards the things which bring us so much happiness .And we try to preserve them in our life forever. But when some things are not meant to stay in our life, they have to leave our life, no matter what. We have to leave them, or they will leave us. But at the end of the day, we will be the one who is suffering from the fond memories related to it and getting disappointed for sure. Today. I want to talk about something which we all need to learn And that is letting go. The first thing which I get reminded of when I think about this topic is, saying goodbye to some things in our life is really difficult and living with memories is even more difficult. It is only the time when you understand that some things are not there in your hands and control, so let them go. When you have to let something go, it may be for your good or maybe for their good. It will be hard in the beginning . But once you are accustomed to the pain, time will heal you for sure. Sometimes filling the void and replacing the void is hard for people in our life . but what else can we do? There are so many relationships in our life where we have to let them go. It could be separation because of death, not being able to stay together anymore, or maybe both of us don’t deserve to be together due to the situation around us. And moreover, nothing can be blamed for the pain which you are going through because of the seperation. In my life I easily get attached to things and people around me and, for me, it is extremely hard to let go of memories when I'm separated from them. But I slowly learned that when some things are not meant for us, they will eventually leave us no matter what. So it's better to let go earlier than late. There were a few people whom I had to let go of for various reasons and all the memories I had used to haunt me all the time, and it was hard for me to let go of the memories. I know it will be the same for all of us. There are some situations which we can't be avoided in our lives, for example, If you are not able to pursue the person who you liked the most, or there could be some breakup or anything which makes us distant from things which we love the most. Then get some closure and move on from them. Sometimes not putting effort into things like that is much better for your mental well-being. If there are memories which you are not able to let go of, accept those memories, time and situation and move on from them for your good. Do not cling on to them just to spoil your present moment because of your past. And always remember that this shall too pass. Never stay in the past and spoil your present and future. There is always a bright light waiting for you at the end of the tunnel. I hope you live your present the best. Thank you. @Jyothsna_Lalitha

  • EP 06: A Letter to Self | Open Letter to Self |
    Feb 17 2024

a letter to self I would catch a glimpse of u when u are going through a rough patch in life . I would try to hold on to you when you try to slip away from a path . I would let you hug yourself for more time so that you would feel better. I will surely keep you warm when you feel people are colder than the temperature around. I would let you go to high places to let you know that there's so much space in the sky to fly. I would let you fly and be a butterfly to let you know that being colourful in this dark world is very necessary. I would keep you as safe as a diamond because you are very precious to you and your loved ones. I would let you love and face rejection to make you understand that not everything you wish comes to your hand. I would let you see the world with your own eyes, to make you know that there are 8 billion people seeing the world with different perspectives. I would let you feel the essence of flowers to let you know that some beautiful things can be felt but not hugged. I would let you feel protected to make sure no one dares to cross the boundaries you make. I would let you touch the grass, so you understand not every grass you see is soft or greener on your side. I would let you cry your heart out, to make you realize that not all emotions are supposed to be bottled up inside you. You are very precious and unique, don't let anything affect you and your mental well being. by Jyothsna Music Credit: @EarthlifeMuscenery tags:
