    Bishop Jack, as he is affectionately called, is a native of Tennessee and the founder of Blessing Hands USA, Inc. (Blessing Hands USA – Building Bridges Around The World), a non-profit humanitarian organization established to revive, restructure, and revitalize communities. He presently serves as Executive Bishop of Hillside International Truth Center in Atlanta (Bishop Dr. Jack L. Bomar - Hillside International Truth Center), Georgia and Lead Pastor at UNITED Church in Beaufort, South Carolina

    He has committed his life to ministry, beginning at Williams Grove Missionary Baptist Church (Camden, TN) where, by age 12, he was the official church musician, the Sunday School Assistant Superintendent, and adjutant to the pastor and his family. After fellowship with various movements within Christianity including the C.M.E. Church and the Church of God in Christ, at the age of 23, Bishop Jack was introduced to New Thought teachings. Since that time, he has presided over, revived, revitalized, repositioned ministries throughout the nation and beyond. Bishop Jack has served as Senior Minister for various New Thought communities in states including Hawaii, New York, Tennessee, California, Illinois, and Georgia; and as International Guest Minister in Australia and U.S. Virgin Islands.

    Bishop Jack received his Doctor of Ministry degree with a concentration in Parish Revitalization & Building the Beloved Community from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago, Illinois. He received his Master of Divinity degree from Chicago Theological Seminary; the Bachelor of Arts degree from Lane College in Jackson, Tennessee; a ministerial ordination from the Barbara King School of Ministry in Atlanta, Georgia; and the ecclesiastical ministerial endorsement from the United Church of Religious Science, now known as Centers for Spiritual Living. He was inducted into the Morehouse College, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Board of Preachers in 2008 and was consecrated as Bishop on September 23, 2018, becoming the second New Thought minister to be consecrated to the Episcopal Office of Bishop.

    His desire is to serve as a conduit that fosters a greater sense of self-awareness, spiritual enlightenment, and God-consciousness with the communities in which he serves. His hope is to encourage people of diverse backgrounds to transcend differences, bridge communication, and build a coalition that leads to the achievement of a common purpose, a unified and loving community.

    Rev. Saba has been a been a student of spirituality, metaphysics and the New Thought teachings for his entire adult life. He began his formal studies in 1975 at the Brooklyn Truth Center, under the leadership of Rev. Don Nedd. While there, he served on the Board of Trustees, was the church administrator and sponsor for the youth group and the Young Adults for Better Living.

    He studied at the Johnnie Colemon Institute and was ordained by Rev. Johnnie Colemon in 1986. Since then, he has served in several ministerial positions and on a number of Boards, including the Universal Foundation for Better Living Board, where he served for 20 years.

    In 2010, Rev. Saba was called to be the minister/spiritual leader of Unity of Huntington, on Long Island, NY. This is a diverse and dynamic ministry that is a member of Unity Worldwide Ministries. Rev. Saba is currently the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Unity Worldwide Ministries Eastern Region. He is also a Founding Member and President of the People of African Descent New Thought Group, Inc. Rev. Saba has written articles for various Unity publications, including the recent booklet, “Turn On the Light – The Timeless Wisdom of Eric Butterworth.”

    In addition, Rev. Saba is active in his community and is the President of the Central Long Island NAACP, as well as the Treasurer of Hollywood Lodge #92 PHA, F. & A.M.

    Rev. Saba graduated from New York University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. He receives loving support in the ministry and in life from his wife, Cheryl, a psychotherapist.

    Spencer A. Murray is the Founder and Executive Director of NO HARM, National Organization for Healing and Redefining Manhood. He is a speaker, writer, minister, and conflict transformation practitioner who specializes in working with men and boys as it relates to unhealthy ideas of masculinity, and how these ideas contribute to violence towards self, women, and the community.

    He is a former educator with Detroit Public Schools where he taught at Paul Robeson Academy, an African-Centered School, and the Academy of the Americas, a Dual Language Immersion School. He holds a Master of Arts in teaching from Wayne State University, a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Western Michigan University, and a Doctor of Ministry degree from New York Theological Seminary, where his focus of study was Conflict Transformation. His doctoral work focused on the systemic influence of patriarchy in religion, and its tendency to oppress and perpetrate violence towards women. Based on his dissertation, Spencer published his first book, Conspiracy of Silence: Religious and Patriarchal Roots of Violence Towards Women.

    He is currently a Violence Prevention Consultant, as well as a Certified Family Violence Intervention Practitioner in the state of Georgia, where he intervenes with men to disrupt abusive behaviors. As a skilled facilitator, Spencer encourages accountability while inviting men to transform their thinking about themselves, women, and manhood. In addition to his harm reduction work, he is also an Adjunct Professor in Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, where he teaches the introductory course, Skills in Conflict Transformation. As a Restorative Justice Consultant with the Georgia Justice Project, Spencer creates spaces for healing, restoration, and an awareness of our shared humanity.

    In this episode, Spencer shares a poem about his near suicide and the choices he made as part of his transformation.

    His years of experience working with men and boys, as well as his own journey to free himself from the prison of toxic masculinity, drives his passion to lead men to a deeper understanding of themselves - an understanding characterized by a reverence for the feminine aspect of creation. Spencer is convinced that a man who has true knowledge of self, will strive do no harm.

    Rev. Dereca Blackmon is the new Senior Minister at the East Bay Church of Religious Science a Center for Spiritual Living (ebcrs.org) in Oakland, CA where she has dedicated over 25 years of service to the spiritual transformation of the entire planet.

    Her sermons, lectures and workshops have provided over 100,000 participants in 20 countries with opportunities to expand their consciousness around issues of inclusion, forgiveness, self-love and radical healing. She has taught the Science of Mind philosophy in a wide variety of settings ranging from teen church to Holmes Institute. She has delivered over 75 talks at spiritual centers in Oakland, Sacramento, Dallas, Detroit and many others, including serving as the Fall Opening Lecture at Stanford University’s Memorial Church.

    Her work is rooted in a tradition of sacred activism that seamlessly blends spiritual and cultural principles that foster personal and social liberation. Whether her ministry is in juvenile hall or corporate conference rooms, she is committed to providing loving comfort to those facing oppression and “constructive discomfort” to those resting in their societal privilege.

    Rev. Dereca served as a lead architect in the effort to organize the Bay Area community response to the murder of Oscar Grant III. After working with the community to mobilize thousands of protestors and holding countless meetings and rallies she began to question the strategy of organizing “against” rather than “for.” She entered ministerial school at Holmes Institute, Santa Rosa campus and has never looked back, becoming one of the nation’s leading speakers on Sacred activism.

    She served as a nonprofit executive for 20 years, developing nationally-adopted experiential curriculum and raising over $5 million dollars for Bay Area youth. She also served for six years as the Assistant Vice Provost and Executive Director of the Diversity and First-Generation Office at her alma mater, Stanford University, where she introduced groundbreaking work allowing participants to engage in deep, authentic and meaningful dialogues.

    She currently serves as President and Co-Founder of Inclusion Design Group (https://inclusiondesign.com/) where she has consulted with a wide variety of corporate, educational, nonprofit and community-based groups to facilitate “uncommon conversations” on issues of race, gender, class and social justice.     He is currently an Adjunct Lecturer in the Faculty of Careers and Humanities at the Vocational Training Development Institute (VTDI) and the School of Continuing Studies at the Mico University, a Transformational Trainer/Facilitator, Life/Corporate Coach, Performing Arts Specialist, poet/spoken word artist and actor.

    Fabian’s writings have been published in more than a dozen collections and anthologies. He self-published his first New Thought-inspired book entitled New Thought, New Words: A Collection of Affirmations, Gratitude Verses and Spoken Word in 2018. He is also a contributing writer for UFBL’s signature publication, The Daily Inspiration. His first children’s book Djembe was self-published in February 2022 and Tribal Elements (A Tribe Ting, Volume 1), a chapbook of original writings by members of Tribe Sankofa on April 23 as part of the collective’s 10th Anniversary celebrations.     Rev. Charline Manuel started her writing career even before she knew that's what she wanted to do. She began writing short notes on pieces of paper as soon as she could hold a pencil and put a few thoughts on paper to her brothers and sisters. Being the 7th child of 8 siblings, writing was a way to escape when she wanted to and express her thoughts when it was difficult to get a word in otherwise.

    Education

    With Double Bachelor Degrees and a Master's Degree, Charline went on to earn a Seminary education that lead to 22 years of faith-based work inspiring people to live their best life.

    Life Experience

    Charline is an inspirational keynote speaker, presenter, workshop facilitator and board consultant. In her consulting work she leads seminars, retreats and workshops that empower boards with education and training programs on topics of Inclusive Leadership, Building Board Capacity, Effective Governance and Compassionate leadership. At the heart of her board work, Charline utilizes the ideas presented in two of her books: The Power of One Accord for faith-based organizations and Boardroom Culture Shock for nonprofit organizations.

    Professional Accomplishments

    Charline has led initiatives for clean water in Africa, partnered to build a school in Haiti, peace immersion in Costa Rica and was a presenter at the 2018 Parliament of the World's Religions in Toronto Canada.

    As Leadership and Board Consultant Charline works with nonprofit and not-for-profit organizations strengthening their board leadership capacity. Charline serves on several boards, including Unity World Headquarters Board of Directors and The Parliament of the World's Religions Board of Trustees. An active instructor for the Unity Urban Ministerial School teaching since 2012 on the faculty. She teaches courses on board leadership and facilitates board workshops and retreats around the country.
