Mythic Vision

By: Erich Wimberly
  • Summary

  • Is it possible that some myths are true? CS Lewis believed that Christianity was the true myth of which ancient mythologies were merely a shadow. This podcast explores the grand narrative of the Bible by taking into account the ancient supernatural worldview. Reality is stranger than fiction. Ironically modern sensibilities have reduced Christianity to a bullet point belief system of facts, concepts, and precepts thereby rendering the story too impotent to capture the imagination and heart of a high tech generation. A story that‘s too small and too boring isn‘t worth living in; subsequently Western Civilization pursues new myths which upon investigation only serve to validate the archetypes of the original Biblical narrative.

  • The Deity of Jesus: Is Jesus God or is He a god?
    Mar 12 2021

In the last episode I talked about Elohim and other gods.  This might leave you wondering who I say Jesus is.  Or it may leave you questioning who he is.  Is he just a man? is he God? or is he just a god but not the supreme god?
