From the construction vests on everyone's seat to the line combos to Tristan Jarry blowing it between the pipes, talking about an Oilers game that mattered was a lot of fun. Needless to say, arguing about the Oilers and having the team ruin your day just kinda felt like home.

Changing gears, the guys walked through the Oilers injury woes plaguing the team early this season after it was announced that Zach Hyman will be sidelined for the next two weeks. Despite playing in the season opener on Tuesday, Hyman apparently hurt himself in the final pre-season game of the year, which had everyone wondering why he played against Vancouver. Yet, even with his upper-body injury, Hyman was on the ice during overtime. So, what's the real story there? Only the Hockey Gords know for sure.

Finally, the guys wrapped up the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with news that Tyler's cousin is one of the astronauts en route to the International Space Station. Why has Tyler never admitted to having an astronaut cousin before? Who knows, but Baggedmilk really wants him to land some kind of ONE interview while he's floating around in space. The guys then wrapped up the show with a quick Big Brother recap ahead of Thursday's season finale.

From there, the boys looked at the Rogers Place value menu, and how it was a nice little surprise for the fanbase after getting kicked in the pills with pricing year after year. Yet, as you'll hear, there's always a catch with the Oilers. As it turns out, the value menu is only available out in Ford Hall.

Changing gears, the guys walked through some of the biggest news stories from around the NHL, including the Connor Hellebuyck situation in Winnipeg and where he might end up when he's finally traded. The guys also dove into Mark Messier's comments about the Mike Babcock hire, and how wild it was to have a franchise legend throw the team under the bus the way he did. Understandably, the boys asked Chalmers for his first take on the situation, given that the Moose is his hero. Surprising? Yes. Disappointing? Also yes.

Changing gears, the guys dug into the Kawhi Leonard situation in Toronto after Wanye asked whether basketball fans are happy with this trade going through after the shady doings in Los Angeles. As you'll hear, the situation is clearly serious from an NBA perspective, but it's also understandable why Raptors fans are happy to have their hero back in town. Needless to say, the Kawhi Leonard story is only to get more interesting when he signs a massive contract back in Toronto.

At $26.50 per beer, the price of going to an Oilers game has shot the moon over the last handful of years. At some point, there is going to be a max price that people will pay before they start to revolt. At some point, people the dam will break with what the fanbase is willing to spend.

Changing gears, the guys dug into the Daejon Love story that has taken over the Internet over the last week after he was busted defrauding defrauding 26 women out of $1.3 million. If you've been paying attention to the story, the details get more and more absurd as the days go along. From the videos to the memes to the leaked DMs, the Daejon Love story is as strange and ridiculous as it gets on the Internet. The moral of the story? Googling people is probably smart.

The NBA completed its investigation in the Leonard tree-planting scam, and doled out some harsh justice as a result.
