Needless to say, Jets fans took another kick to the shin on Thursday after their star goalie confirmed that he no longer wants to play in their city. While many insiders have speculated on the situation since the Olympics, it seems like we're nearing the end of the Hellebuyck era.

Changing gears, the guys spent the next chunk of the podcast talking about the San Francisco 49ers owner getting busted for soliciting prostitution at a trailer park in Ohio. As you'll hear, the boys had plenty of questions regarding why a billionaire would make such a poor life choice, but that quickly devolved into making fun of the guy for being cheap. From there, the guys talked about the Cleveland Browns, and how they never seem to make anything easier on themselves, especially when it comes to their quarterback situation.

The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a conversation about TV after Chalmers made his return to the podcast and spent a few minutes talking about House of the Dragon. That led the guys to do a quick Big Brother recap, and discussed whether or not this season is actually good or just something to watch. The boys also discussed the Jays' resurgence, and how this team refuses to lay down and die despite so many people writing them off only a few weeks ago.

Changing gears, the guys spent the next chunk of the podcast talking about what a dreadful summer it's been here in Edmonton. For someone in construction like Chalmers, having this much rainfall has really messed up the building season. Chalmers also wanted to check out what the farmer's almanac had to say, and as it turns out, the almanac basically predicted this summer to a tee. And when it comes to the winter months? Well... the news didn't get much better.

While there was plenty of misinformation and confusion cruising around social media yesterday, the boys had some fun with the reaction and how there were so many takes that were completely untrue.

Changing gears, the guys spent chunk of the podcast moving all over the place, including Clare Drake Arena being closed for the upcoming season for renos, Jay getting caught by an AI hippo video, and getting his mind blown by a magician. Despite working through these varying topics, the boys had to go back to the hippo talk after Jay shared the video in the group chat convinced that he was going to prove it to be real. Unfortunately, Mr. Downton was proven to be incorrect.

The guys kicked off this week's episode of Real Life with a run of topics that were not at all planned and completely random. Given that there is next to no Oilers news happening right now, the boys had the opportunity to wander into whatever topic they chose whether it was a good idea or not. From Tony Romo's legal situation to taking Ubers home from the bar to bossing robots around, the first segment of the podcast was all over the map and made no sense whatsoever.

Changing gears, Tyler walked the boys through his upcoming holiday plans and how he's still not sure whether he'll be able to take his electric hummer on his road trip. Given that superchargers aren't overly plentiful in Alberta yet, the choice of taking his Hummer on the road is almost being stripped from him. That said, these are champagne problems to say the least. Will Tyler get sympathy from the audience? Unlikely.

Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with a recap of old Nation Gear designs that Rick brought into the office from the archives, and how there have been some horrible designs. From there, the guys looked back in Oilers history and had a conversation about how bad some of the old Decade of Darkness seasons where despite ON being around the whole time.
