  • Summary

  • Neil Bresnahan committed to play basketball at the University of Illinois in 1976. Neil played high school basketball at Oak Park Fenwick High School. He was a part of Lou Henson's first recruiting class. Neil was a 6-6 Forward with skills that resemble today's European style players. He could shoot, rebound, drive, pass and defend at a very high level. During his days as an Illini, he got to guard some of the best who ever played the game, including Magic Johnson. Bresnahan was a starter on the 1979 Illini team that started 15-0, including an upset of Magic's #1 Ranked Michigan State Spartans.

After graduation, Neil was selected in the NBA draft by the Golden State Warriors. A bad knee injury ended his playing days. Neil lives in the Chicago area and has spent the last 30 plus years working in the financial industry.
