• Three Men and a Baby (1987)
    Mar 20 2022
We are finally back this week in episode 208 to continue the World's Longest Theme Month ever with Three Men and a Baby (1987). We continue our lovefest with all things THE GUTE with this cinematic masterpiece of adorable male ineptitude and whoring around. Peter, Jack, and Michael are three spinster men living together in a den of sin when one day, they receive two mysterious packages... a baby and some drugs. Watch as they try to decide which they should give to the goony henchmen and which they should learn to care for properly through the use of montages and females not helping out. We apologize for the delay in episodes, but the world is fucked up and blanket forts are warm and cozy. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

    Nov 16 2021
In episode 207, Liz & Heather continue the fun of GUTE...whatever with Short Circuit (1986)! Tune in as we chat with our good friends, Steve and Izzy from Everything I Learned From Movies about this classic staring Ally Sheedy and a robot... and of course THE GUTE (Steve Guttenberg) and some unfortunate casting choices. Number 5 is struck by lightning and becomes self-aware and goes on a solo road trip, where he meets a woman who immediately thinks he is an alien, rather than a very obvious robot. Got to love the 80s! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • Police Academy (1984)
    Oct 7 2021
It's finally GUTEtember... er... GUTEtober? Due to life and whatnot, our month-long love affair with Steve Guttenberg movies was delayed from September to October, but it's finally here! We are celebrating Liz's birthday with an entire month dedicated to unexpected 80s dreamboat, THE GUTE!! Week 1 kicks off with an absolute classic, 1984's Police Academy! But wait... there's more! We aren't alone in our love of all things Guttenberg! We are joined for this first episode with none other than the infamous and much loved Steve and Izzy from Everything I Learned From Movies! The GUTE love all began a few years ago when Liz joined Stizzy for Zeus & Roxanne and we realized that he's kind of a hunk! We followed up with them last year with The Man Who Wasn't There, in which we got to see THE FULL GUTE! Go check out those episodes on their podcast on your favorite podcast app. In this delightful, if incredibly problematic follows a class of cadets through the police academy, led by kindly adopted father to Punky Brewster, Henry Warnamont,,, uh, Comadant Lassard... and the much less delightful Captain Harris, as one tries to see the best in everything and a random fish, and the other has his head up a horse's ass...literally. We follow The GUTE as loveable scamp Mahoney, along with Jones, Tackleberry, Hightower, Hooks, Callahan, and more. Does it hold up? Let's find out! Make sure to tune in for the rest of our GUTEtastic lineup coming to you soon! Week 2: Short Circuit Week 3: Three Men and a Baby Week 4: It Takes Two Learn more about your ad choices. • 90s Reboots. Remakes & Reruns - LIVE from Comicpalooza 2021
    Aug 1 2021
This week, we are coming to you LIVE from Comicpalooza 2021 with a show from the floor on 90s Reboots, Remakes, & Reruns. This topic was inspired by Mario Lopez (who unfortunately had to cancel) and Mark Paul Gossalar attending the convention for a Saved By The Bell reunion panel. The audio isn't up to our usual standard since it was recorded on the convention floor next to other panels, but we wanted to share the fun. Next time, we will be back with a very special episode and our first Patreon Pick topic!! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • Book Club: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix with Randy from Cult 45 Podcast
    Jul 3 2021
In episode 203, it is time for another Nerdy Bitches Book Club! Since we are reading another volume of Harry Potter, we once again bring in special guest "Random" Randy Savage from the Cult 45 Podcast! This episodes gets a little political because apparently JK was ahead of her time when she shows the Ministry of Magic denying the truth and spreading lies to make themselves look better in the media. Of course you have to slander children in the process. So many parallels... so little time!   Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

  • 2020 is a Dumpster Fire - Part 4 - 2021 Edition
    Jun 22 2021
In episode 202, we sit down for the 4th part of our 2020 is a Dumpster Fire series. Yeah, we know it's 2021, but let's face it, 2020 is the year that will not fucking end. But along the way, we have learned a few things that we thought we would share. We are also trying to end on some positives, because we can't really stress over any of this shit anymore. Here are some lessons we learned: Buying things online will often end poorly. BUT sometimes, what you end up with is fucking hilarious [see shark toy expectation vs. reality] Bidets. Enough said. Comfortable bras are life. And hard to find. Watching upbeat, positive TV on a loop is the way to go. Some examples - Schitt's Creek, The Great British Baking Show, The Vanilla Ice Project, Ted Lasso, and more. Finding things that bring joy - Golden buzzer moments, trips to Vegas with your dog... Also, those people who have been crowing for years that they could survive the zombie apocalypse - the pandemic has proven that THAT is a lie... they were all taken out after a couple of weeks because they needed a haircut. Good job, Billy Bob. We don't want to look like a Karen Virtual gaming has been a life saver! The "You can't work from home" company line is also a lie. We have shown that so many businesses couldn't Black Lives STILL MATTER. This is still a major issue and we need to dig our heads out of our asses. Breonna Taylor's murders are STILL on the loose and nothing has been done to provide any justice. Travel is opening back up again. We are excited for Comicpalooza coming up in July and we will get to see each other again for the first time in two years. We also have family coming to visit in the next couple of months.
