Neurodivergent Voices in Therapy: Part 3, with Tracy Clark

  • Summary

  • This is the third of a 4-part mini-series where we explore running a private practice when affected by autism, ADHD, dyslexia or a combination of those things.

This week I am talking with Tracy Clark about running a practice with dyslexia.

I’ve known Tracy for some time: she used to be a member of the Grow Your Private Practice membership, and I couldn't be happier to have her as a guest in the Neurodivergent Voices in Therapy series.

Tracy is a neurodivergent therapist who supports and works alongside neurodiverse young people, adults and couples.

    Today we talk about:

    • The impact of a dyslexia diagnosis
    • The benefits of self-disclosure
    • Dyslexia and running a business
    • The importance of trusting your intuition and trusting the process
    • The need for robust self-care
    • Positives of dyslexia in the therapy room

    About Tracy Clark

    Tracy says:

"I am a neurodivergent therapist who supports and works alongside neurodiverse young people, adults and couples.

Within my working week I can be found working 2 days a week in a charity in the central belt of Scotland and the rest of the week in my private practice. I am also a supervisor of trainee therapists as well as qualified therapists.

My interest in working alongside neurodivergent individuals comes from both a personal perspective as well as a professional capacity, also as a supervisor being able to support other therapists.

I have also delivered workshops in this area, as well as being invited to chat with the lovely Jane Travis now twice on this topic, which is very close to my heart.

More awareness, more conversations means embracing the amazing uniqueness of human beings.

For some downtime and self-care I also offer doodle workshops check out the links for more information, as well as workshops with CTUK (Counsellors Together UK) or Onlinevents."
