• Olympics Opening Ceremony Receives Backlash
    Jul 30 2024
The 2024 Paris Olympics kicked off Friday with the opening ceremony taking place in Paris, France. During part of the ceremony, it appears performers attempted to reenact Leonardo DaVinci’s Last Supper, which for Christians, represents Jesus’ last meal with his twelve apostles. The scene that played out during that ceremony sparked widespread criticism from Christians and Conservatives alike. Olympic organizers insist it was not a depiction of the Last Supper but rather a scene depicting Dionysus, the Greek god of wine. Do you think it was an appropriate “performance”?

  • A Pathway to Citizenship Part 2
    Jul 30 2024
One of the big issues concerning citizens this election is the topic of immigration. As vice president, Kamala Harris was chosen to lead the White House effort to tackle the migration challenge at the U.S. southern border. Republicans have heavily criticized Harris’ record on immigration, whereas supporters like MA Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who has endorsed Harris as president, has defended the VP, saying “we need a pathway to citizenship” and “Kamala Harris will work with Congress and get that done."

    Jul 27 2024
It’s coming up on almost a year since MA Gov. Maura Healey declared a state of emergency existed in the Commonwealth because of the influx of migrants. The migrant crisis has put a serious financial strain on the state’s budget. Taxpayers in Massachusetts have spent more than $1 billion to date on the emergency shelter system. Dan discussed a new report that has come out from the Center for Immigration Studies, which believes costs will only continue to go up if lawmakers “don’t do something to address the problem.”
