While the film is full of well executed humor, it is the sad story of a friendship ending, legacy, and coming to terms with life's changes. McDonagh has once again written and directed an excellent black comedy.

This film takes on very interesting perspective changes as it keeps you moving through its ominous and creepy tone. While this is a horror film, it has a very nuanced family dynamic that makes the story feel more rich and real. We are certain that this is a much better film than the 2022 American version.

    The Descent was released in 2005 and was directed by Neil Marshall. This movie was dedicated to his dog that passed during filming and we don't thing the dog would be proud. For a film that follows a group of friends venturing into a cave it lacks any depth. This film is not worth watching but our review is worth listening to.
