  • I live with my friend's daughter because I'm old and can't run my business as I used to. I invited her to stay, attend school, and assist me; it's been five years now. One day, her friend informed me she visited a guy's home in our neighborhood. I got furious and scolded her upon her return, but she claimed nothing happened and was only watching TV. I spoke to the guy, and he corroborated her story. A month later, I noticed she had missed her period, so I ran a pregnancy test, and she was pregnant. She then confessed that the guy had slept with her. When I confronted him, he admitted it, accepted the pregnancy, but demanded I allow him to marry her in exchange for supporting the pregnancy. However, I refused after talking to her parents, as she is too young for marriage and still has school to finish. He has since ignored the child and neglected all her pregnancy expenses. We paid close to 2000 cedis for her cesarean delivery, and the guy hasn't paid a dime, saying he won't care for her or his child unless we allow him to marry the young girl - Woman shares.
