  • Death Penalty: Carlos Deluna (Part I)
    Apr 18 2022

Carlos Deluna was convicted of murdering 26-year-old, single mother, Wanda Lopez. He swore he was innocent, and that Carlos Hernandez was the true murderer. This so-called "phantom" was nowhere to be found. 14 years after Carlos was put to death by lethal injection, an investigation was published by Columbia Human Rights Law Review and suggested Carlos was telling the truth. Hernandez was a similar looking man who had done similar crimes with the same weapon used in the murder of Wanda Lopez. He had also told at least 5 people he was getting away with murder and that someone else was taking the blame.
