  • Pierpaolo Beretta was born in Como in 1958. He follows a technical-commercial higher education, later approaching the figurative arts. He is fascinated by all the creative arts and it is for this reason that he is also a musician and composer. As a painter he does not possess a prevailing technique, but rather lets himself be guided by his imaginations and perceptions of that particular moment. He is aware that communication is one of the most important foundations of life, and through the abstract or real images of his paintings, he is able to express love, vitality and emotions, sometimes accompanied by the sensual music he composed and performed. The projection and purpose of his thought imagines to fully grasp the artistic intertwining, aimed at the pursuit of freedom and spiritual well-being. Pierpaolo Beretta is a man who generally tries to look beyond appearance, and strives to acquire full awareness of other people, of all living beings, and of all things. Letting himself be guided by imagination and perception, Pierpaolo Beretta captures and fixes moments of nature on the table. In his paintings, real or abstract landscapes, he expresses the emotions of a moment. Love, vitality, but also quiet and abandonment, sensations that seem to come out of the images, to move in the surrounding space on the notes of a sensual and romantic melody, which captivates the gaze and attention of the observer. The public is thus catapulted into an almost fantastic, unreal atmosphere, in which color accentuates the vitality of the plant element, the true undisputed protagonist of Pierpaolo Beretta's works. Majestic-looking, imposing plants dominate a landscape that is instead lunar, sometimes anonymous, or arid. Nature in the foreground communicates its message of positivity to the world. That Nature which is a source of nourishment, lymph for every living being. In Pierpaolo Beretta's colors there is all the strength of creativity, the power of instinct, the ability to transfigure what is real to give shape to an image that is created as the work progresses, is transformed when the color lies on the table, absorbing its infinite shades. The background, often unlikely and unrealistic, recalls landscapes that are not necessarily earthly, but still true, vital.
