  • It was the day of Mini's wedding. Everyone was running out to complete the preparations for the occasion when suddenly they have a surprise visitor. The narrator's initial reaction was to shun him away as soon as possible but seeing his love for Mini, he asked her to come down and meet him once. Rehman struggled to recognize her as he still thought Mini was a small girl. 


    This made Rehman realize that his own daughter would also have grown up while he was away and he has missed her childhood and will need to learn new ways to engage her. Recognizing the pain of a father, the narrator gave Rehman some money so he can return back to his home in Kabul by compromising on some wedding arrangements.
