On New Year's Eve, 1998, Britta (Rebecca Steigelfest) wakes alone and confused in an alley, covered and blood and Embraced as a vampire in the Camarillan Domain of New Haven, CT. Sentenced to die for violating the Traditions, it will take everything that sympathetic Brujah bullyboy Johnny Saxon (Garrett Gabbey), blue-blooded Ventrue Miles Davenport (Tim Davis), occult-touched Gangrel Wynn Cabot (Erika Webb), and  horoscope-obsessed Malkavian Neil Foster (Rob Muirhead) have to keep Britta alive.

With the continued unlife of Britta on the line, Johnny brings the coterie to talk to Sheriff Earl Weathers to try and find a way to find the political capital they need before Prince Upton Rowlands formally begins court. But with time running out, will they be able to avoid having to make a deal with dangerous Nosferatu crime boss Shaw?

New Year's 1999. Having successfully kept Britta alive for the coming nights, the coterie agreed to travel to Miles' haven across town. Miles and Britta drove in the Ventrue's midnight blue Ferrari, while Johnny, Neil, and Wynn followed a few minutes behind in a cab. But when a mysterious black SUV rams Miles' car, pushing him and Britta into oncoming traffic, the end of a stressful night suddenly becomes a desperate struggle for their lives.
