• SOGIESC is for everyone and here is why! (part one)
    Aug 7 2023

Pride month may be over but that doesn't mean that our mission for inclusivity ends there.

In this special comeback episode, we talked with Gio Potes (he/him) and Ms. Anna Villanueva (Ms./Siya), from the University of the Philippines Diliman Gender Office, to get an in-depth view on the importance of understanding SOGIESC (btw, everyone has it!) and why the SOGIE Bill should be a priority bill in the Philippines.

(Tune in next episode for the discussion on how to talk to kids about SOGIESC and how young should they start learning about sex and gender)

  • Practicing gender-inclusive language in the context of menstruation: a pride month special
    Jun 20 2023

Menstruators, people with periods, and people who menstruate are not words or phrases that are meant to harm, offend, or erase women or womanhood. In this episode, Ninai and Toni discusses the importance of using gender-inclusive language in the context of menstruation and how we can build a world of acceptance if we just start using these menstrual-centric language.

  • At home with Ninai and Toni: a getting-to-know-us episode
    May 25 2023
Hi! Toni and I agreed that the past episodes have been too technical (BUT INFORMATIVE) in discussion. So, we decided to do an episode where we share some stuff about us - like what compelled Toni to join the We Bleed Red Movement, our first digital campaign and how people received it, even so far as discussed our sexuality. Much is in store for this episode and for the coming episodes! • Menstruation in the workplace: the menstrual leave debate
    May 16 2023

Let's talk about the Menstrual Leave debate habang mainit-init pa ang topic! In this conversation Ninai and Toni talked about the menstrual leave bills filed by the Congress - it's benefits, drawbacks, and rooms for improvement.

"We keep going back to the idea that these bills are done and written in good faith however there are still a number of unintended negative implications for menstruators, such as perpetuating SEXIST BELIEFS and ATTITUDES that contribute to menstrual stigma and gender stereotypes which also affects our already GENDERED wage gap."

  • Endometriosis: a commonly misdiagnosed disorder
    May 7 2023

Did you know that, according to research, endometriosis is often hard to diagnose because it shares symptoms with several other conditions? As a result, patients may endure the wrong treatments without seeing any improvement. Average delays range from 6 to 11 years, often despite disabling and ongoing symptoms, with symptoms being “treated” for years despite patients not having received a definitive diagnosis. More about this in this conversation with Doctor Christine Joyce Maningas-Omolida, MD, FPOGS, FPSRM.
