    You only lose in gambling when you stop playing. We've all heard this and if you're able to separate decision quality from results you'll understand the fault with this postulate. But when does a numerously repeated behavior diverge into absurdity with the only "success" being an improbable convergence to 0? While I don't cover the exact answer to that question I know Casey Neistat tried to break 3-hrs in the marathon 25 times over 17 years before he finally did so I don't think four attempts to summit Whitney via the mountaineers route is too bad. If you don't quit you'll never lose. Right?
