In this week's episode, we are heading to Russia and then Paris with Anastasia! There are two things that we know this movie has: (1) demons that really weren't worth the entire cost of your soul and (2) a timeline that doesn't really make sense.

This childhood favorite of millennials across the world was originally produced by 20th Century Fox. But seeing as Disney now owns it, the age old fight over Anastasia as a Disney princess has been solved. Come along as we discuss the historical context, the questionable motives of everyone involved, and just how long it would take to travel from St. Petersburg to Paris.

Disney's experimental age is full of great movies and duds. From experiment 626 to the most expensive flop, the movies are varied and interesting. This week, we are tackling yet another experimental movie, Treasure Planet! This space take on Treasure Island came out in 2002, right in the middle of the experiments. The animators used three different types of animation/technology to create this movie, which jacked up the price and made it less visually smooth. Mistakes aside, this is a fun movie, with interesting characters, and the best sidekicks, potentially ever. From Morph to B.E.N. and all of the villainous crew members, this cast is full of *character. Pour yourself a Wrecked Pirate and tune in as we make our way to Treasure Planet!

For our very first live action movie, we are changing up the format. This week, we are delving into one of Sav's childhood favorites, The Great Mouse Detective! This movie takes Sherlock Holmes classic iconography and adapts it to a talking mouse world. Both Basil and Dawson have personalities that mirror Sherlock and Watson, and then the game is afoot.

Throughout this episode, while gushing about the premise, we discuss the villain songs, the success rate for this evil plan, how the different animals are able to or not able to speak clearly to each other, and the Sherlock Holmes nods.
