In this episode, we answer an email that was sent to us asking for help in discerning which is the best option: Tithing or Purposed Giving. We go through the email and provide biblical answers for every question, and we believe we can refute one view successfully by scripture. Purposed giving is said to come from the overflow of the heart, while the tithe is called outdated and done away with. The tithe was a standard set by God, while there is no set standard amount to give in purposed giving… which one is more biblical? Join us today to hear what our conclusions are!

In this episode, we discuss this passage and how the Lord would have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. Paul argues that there is only one God and one Mediator between God and man, Jesus Christ. We also talk about Jesus giving Himself as a ransom for all, how Paul was ordained as a preacher, apostle, and a teacher. We then wade into some controversial waters as we study v. 8 and get ready for v. 9. The controversy hinges upon men and women, so why don’t you come study God’s Word today to see what we’re talking about?

In this episode, we look at multiple things such as: Paul encouraging Timothy to wage a good warfare, hold onto faith, keep a good conscience so he won’t make shipwreck. He then tells of 2 men who he had delivered over to Satan that they might learn not to blaspheme. He then went on to tell Timothy to supplicate, pray, intercede, and give thanks for all men including kings and all in authority. He further explains that this is good in the sight of God, and all of this still applies to us today, so why don’t you come and study God’s Word with us today?

    Mar 16 2026

In this episode, we explore Paul’s declaration of ‘his’ Gospel, the enabling of Christ for Paul to minister, and then we discuss what Paul was before conversion. He tells us that the grace of the Lord was abundant towards him, and he recognized that Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of who he believed himself to have been the chief. He said that he was given mercy because of his ignorance, and that he was chosen to be a pattern to those who would believe. He praised God as being the eternal King, immortal, invisible, and the only wise God. We agree with Paul 100%, and we also would love for you to study God’s Word with us today!

  • Ep. #437: Who is the Law for? 1Tim. 1:6-10
    Mar 9 2026

    Send a text

In today’s study, we read where Paul warns Timothy that some had deviated from the true faith, and had begun to teach false doctrines. They had turned to empty speech, fruitless talk, and vain jangling. They desired to be teachers of the Law, but they lacked true understanding, which is the basis for their false doctrines. Paul argues that the Law is good when it is used correctly, because it is meant for those who are ungodly, not those who are righteous. He also gave us a lengthy list that we went over and gave definitions to help us understand better. The bottom line is that we all need a Savior! Come study God’s Word with us today…

    Mar 6 2026

In this study, we explore the question of whether God’s promises depend on human faithfulness, and we use Israel as our main example. Despite the Jewish nation failing in many ways, God’s covenants and promises remain. God chooses ordinary people for His own purposes, not basing His decision on our own merit. God calls, chooses, and sends whoever He desires, and those promises are forever. We invite everyone to come study God’s Word with us today!

In today’s study, we introduce a new book study in 1Timothy, and we discuss several things such as the debate concerning whether Paul is the true author or not, how Timothy was the spiritual son of Paul, and the apostolic authority of Paul. He wrote this book while in a Roman jail, to warn Timothy and the church at Ephesus of false teachers, and their false doctrines. He encourages Timothy to maintain sound doctrine, keep a pure heart, a good conscience, and sincere faith. These things are foundational to true Christian living.
