  • Cornwall Training Hub Fellowship : First Contact Practitioner Roadmaps to Practice and Multi Professional working

    In this episode Emma chats to Alison Quinn, a First Contact MSK Practitioner who has been working within a fellowship role with the Cornwall Training Hub to support Physiotherapists, Paramedics, Occupational therapists, Podiatrists and Dieticians transition to work within ‘First Contact Practitioner’ roles within primary care in Cornwall. This follows the implementation of the ‘Roadmaps to Practice’ by NHS England in 2021, ensuring that the clinicians are supported to complete these pathways, including supporting the supervisors of the roadmaps who are a vital resource to ensure robust accreditation and sign off. We discuss the successes and challenges for Cornwall and Alison continues to work to support this aspect of the workforce – so please get in touch if you have any further questions.
