• Understanding Ben Hope with Licensed Therapists Em & Bella
    Jul 17 2024

Join Jamie with licensed therapists Em and Bella to dive deep into the complex character of Ben Hope.

Often seen as Heartstopper's biggest villain, Ben’s actions and his behavior are totally inexcusable but they stem from a place of deep-seated insecurities and internal struggles.

Join us as we explore the psychological factors that contribute to Ben’s behavior, including his parental relationships, internalized homophobia and the pressure to conform to societal expectations.

We’ll discuss how these issues manifest in his interactions with Charlie and others, and the impact they have on his mental health.

Our special guests, licensed therapists Em & Bella, provide insights into how therapy could help Ben address his underlying issues, develop healthier coping mechanisms, and ultimately, find a path to self-acceptance and more hopeful future.

This controversial episode aims to foster a deeper understanding of Ben’s character and highlight the importance of mental health support for individuals facing similar challenges.

Tune in for an empathetic and enlightening discussion that sheds light on the complexities of Ben Hope and the transformative power of therapy.
