Wrong Motives.

James 4:1-3 NLT

What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don't they come from the evil desires at war within you? [2] You want what you don't have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can't get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don't have what you want because you don't ask God for it. [3] And even when you ask, you don't get it because your motives are all wrong-you want only what will give you pleasure.

• Be Passionate About Jesus Christ.

Psalm 37:4 NLT

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you your heart's desires.

• Commit Your Plans to Him.

Psalm 37:5 NLT

[5] Commit everything you do to the LORD. Trust Him, and he will help you.

Whenever you're before anyone who can do and make you become anyone or anything (in this case GOD), don't ASK for what you want, instead ASK for what HE wants to give you and the person HE wants you to Become.

• Ask for Wisdom

James 1:5 NKJV

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

Wisdom is the Principal Thing

Proverbs 4:7 NKJV

Wisdom is the principal thing; Therefore get wisdom. And in all your getting, get understanding.

• Ask and Seek to Know Him

The purpose of Knowing Jesus Christ is to Become One with Him.
