  • The RV Technical Institute (RVTI) is gearing up for a busy summer of recruitment events in 2023. The institute is on a mission to attract more RV technicians to the industry through an intensified marketing campaign and a strong presence at consumer and industry shows. The RVTI is also expanding its partnerships with RV dealerships across the country and aims to recruit 1,000 new technicians this year. The institute is participating in several events this summer to spread the word about its mission. These include the 17th Great Homeschool Convention in Ontario, California, the Career and Technical Association of Texas’s Annual Conference in Dallas, Texas, and the American School Counselor Association Annual Conference in Georgia. The latter event provides school counselors from all over the country with resources to educate their students on skilled trade career options, including the opportunity to graduate with an RV Technical Institute certification and start a career as an RV technician right after high school. Later in the summer, the institute will participate in the Correctional Education Association International Conference in Portland, Oregon, as epr the News & Insights report of the RV Industry Association. The RVTI has previously worked with correctional facility populations to help reduce recidivism and gain employment upon release. The institute will also attend the Florida RV Trade Association event, a networking event for dealers and members. In September, the RVTI will attend the Pennsylvania RV and Campground Association annual trade show to educate consumers on the Institute certification and recruit new RV technicians. The institute will also participate in the Tennessee School Counselor Association Annual Conference, providing educators with resources to inform students about skilled trade options after graduation, including the RV technician career path. The RVTI’s recruitment efforts are not limited to these events. The institute is continuously working to raise awareness about the career opportunities available in the RV industry and the benefits of becoming an RV technician. These efforts are crucial as the demand for skilled RV technicians continues to grow with the increasing popularity of RVing. The RVTI’s recruitment campaign is an important step towards addressing the shortage of skilled RV technicians in the industry. By providing comprehensive training and certification programs, the institute is helping to ensure that RV owners have access to high-quality service and repair facilities. This not only enhances the RV ownership experience but also contributes to the overall growth and success of the RV industry.
