In the twenty years since joining the corporate communications team of an IT company in Delhi, Karthik has worked on both the client-side (Flipkart, Subex) and the agency side (Ogilvy, Edelman, Text 100). He has also steered the introduction of social media in corporate communications, advertising and PR industries in India, besides handling social media for brands like Lenovo India, General Motors India, LinkedIn India, BlackBerry and IBM, among others. He is the author of Be Social: Building Brand YOU Online which covers the entire gamut of the work you can do for yourself online—starting with your specific reasons to be active on social media, how to navigate the online space, how to articulate your objectives consistently and how to build pipelines of content to augment your brand over a period of time.
