    In this episode of Real Life Real Crime Daily, Jim Chapman and Woody Overton discuss various crime news stories including a murder suspect in Baton Rouge who turned himself in after being accidentally released from jail. In Caddo Parish, a foster mother was found guilty in the shaking death of a baby, and a police officer in Louisiana faced charges in a child's rape case.

    Additionally, in New York City, two men were charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a one-year-old boy during a cookout where innocent bystanders were also shot, with the suspects linked to a local street gang. Other stories included the sentencing of a foster mother to life in Caddo Parish for fatally abusing an 18-month-old girl, a man in Ohio indicted for killing his girlfriend, a woman stabbed at Miami International Airport, and a woman facing multiple charges in Florida, following a violent altercation at her home.

there is alot of corruption in Rapides , LA. Need a new DA. I have never heard of such a disgraceful DA.

My favorite crime podcast

Woody is an excellent story teller and an absolute hero. He has helped give closure and that is something most people wouldn't get unless by having someone like Woody's help. Born and raised in southern Louisiana(currently living in Albany, LA) and very close to the areas of a lot of his stories, has really opened my eyes to how close evil has been to us our whole lives. I will continue to be a Lifer and continue sharing where and how you can listen.

my favorite true crime

Woody Overton is a true LEO (law enforcement officer) the language, and cup humor.... I love the perspective of each episode. His voice is great! the stories are relatable, but so much more of them coming from this former detective and patrol LEO. 100% recommended! #retiredchiefofpolice

Love this episode

my son is taking his exams to become a L.E.O. it's been his dream since he was 5 yrs old. I am very scared for him as we have had 4 officers killed in the line of duty near us in the last month. Thank you for doing this episode.
