  • Episode 008 | Building a Light on a Hill

    In this week’s episode, Ray Van Drie joins us to discuss his experiences building an entire school campus to host 2,000 students in rural Uganda, all from his cell phone. He shares some of the struggles that he went through during the construction phases and the immense joy that he gets by volunteering for the project. One of his and his wife’s favorite aspects of their involvement in the relationship is that they have been able to grow with Dorah, their sponsored daughter. They have seen the change in her becoming a Christian over the past two years to an avid evangelist in her home village today. We love Ray and are so thankful for him; we hope you enjoy this episode!

    Ray Van Drie, a seasoned construction professional with over 40 years of experience in Michigan, has always had a passion for building and engineering. He considers himself fortunate that, after his retirement, he was able to channel his skills and experience into a project that brings hope to Uganda.
