  • Matty Grace is a musician from the East Coast of Canada who has been in so many bands that it’s almost impossible to count. Outta Controller, Fat Stupids, Weekend Dads, Sore Spots, Future Girls, Modern Cynics, Century Egg, Cluttered (who just won the Music Nova Scotia Loud Recording of the year Award) and she performs as a solo artist and let’s be honest, I’m sure I’ve missed at least a dozen more.

    She has been a staple in the Halifax DIY punk community forever and the bands she has been in have releases on labels from all over the world. At the end of February of this year she moved to Ottawa and already has a new band, Crisis Party, with some of Ottawa’s friendliest punks.

    Matty is a very active trans advocate who has been dealing with her own dysphoria with a huge support network based on how great she is as a person.
