  • Floore’s Country Store on Old Bandera Road didn’t stay a store very long after the legendary dance hall and cafe opened in 1942.  Another San Antonio Story after this.

    Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, and Elvis Presley all played Floores Country Store back in the day as it’s also known as the musical birthplace of Willie Nelson.  John T. Floore had experience in booking musical greats from his previous job as the manager of the Majestic Theatre. John T. Floore passed in 1975...and the dance Floore is still open.  I’m Sonny Melendrez.
