Based in Saint Louis, High Pressure Growers, known as HPG, is concerned with breaking the stigma and growing c@nn@ as high quality produce. Both their flower and brand are organic. In this episode, HPG shares a bit of knowledge on their genetics work, AKA the reason their bud is so good. We also discuss how not only as a grower, but as a consumer, you can learn about the genetics of your plant! The Recipe: What you need to know to grow: Seed strains from the same breed may have different personalities (feel free to research genotype and phenotype!) You can observe traits (another genetics term!) just by using your senses when and before you light up! Taste the flavor, smell the terpenes, and see the vibrant colors of the plant. Like your pet dog, it may be nice to know the ancestry (Who are the parents?) of your seeds! Environment is key. Think about your temperature, air flow, soil microbiome, and nutrients.
