Season Spoiler Synopsis: Riches is a 2022 British drama television series from Amazon Prime. Stephen Richards (Hugh Quarshie) is a self-made millionaire who owns Flair and Glory, a cosmetics empire. After a heart attack that takes his life, he leaves the company to his oldest children Nina (Deborah Ayorinde) and Simon (Emmanuel Imani), who he is estranged from. Nina and Simon get news of Stephen's death and decide to travel from America, where they left to with their mother to create a new life after Stephen left their mother for his new wife and family, to England for his funeral. In the reading of the will where Nina and Simon are granted controlling shares of the company, Stephen's other family is irate. This begins a hostile fight for control of the company, which sees Claudia (Sarah Niles) and her children pull everything stunt they can to get the company out from under Nina and Simon, often citing that's what Stephen would want (even though he was explicit in his will). During the series we see Nina discover that someone is embezzling money from the company and uncovers the story of the missing money while defending her leadership and ownership in the company. After a vicious fight with Stephen's other family, Nina retains her position and ownership of the company and finds that Gideon (Brendan Coyle), the executor of Stephen's will and former financial partner/friend, is guilty of embezzling the money. The show ends on a cliffhanger that not all of Stephen's biological children have been factored into his wishes for the company and a suspicion that Claudia is responsible for Stephen's sudden death.

Season Spoiler Synopsis: Almost Human was a 2013 mystery crime procedural that takes place in the year 2048. The show focused on Detective John Kennex (Karl Urban) as he returns to the police force several months after a raid gone bad having been the only survivor and losing one of his legs. At this point in the future, technology has advanced far enough to where every detective has an android partner know as MX’s. John, upon returning to the force, wants a human partner as it was good enough for his partner and, in trying to do so, throws his MX out of his car onto the highway. His replacement is a DRN named Dorian (Michael Ealy), who had been decommissioned along with the rest of the DRNs when they were believed their emotions made them unstable and harmful. Unlike the MXs, who are very stereotypical, vacant, and unemotional robots, the DRNs and Dorian have emotions, look more human, and still possess the strength, intelligence, and combat skills of the other MXs. Over the course of the series, John and Dorian solve a variety of crimes all usually related to the group that lead to the botched raid John had conducted known as Insindicate. The series ends with a revelation that Dorian somehow contains organic human memories of childhood and the two having now become friends and good partners.

Grab your college-ruled notebook and your syllabus as Andrew and Presley head back to college in their latest episode. Will they find a new show to love, or will this one be lazy because of its tenure? Listen now to find out.

    All our Links: https://linktr.ee/seasononepod

Season Spoiler Synopsis: Lucky Hank was an AMC+ original show that focused on tenured English professor Hank Devereux (Bob Odenkirk) as he navigated the troubles of his daily academic and home life. After getting combative with a student, Hank is recorded talking about Railton College (the college he works at) as a beacon of mediocrity, which we learn is spurred by the imminent retirement of his absentee father from Colombia, which forced Hank to re-evaluate his current situation and reflect on his much smaller academic footprint over his giant fathers. After being pushed out as the chair of the English department, Hanks's wife, Lily (Mireille Enos), decides to pursue a new role in New York, driving a wedge between the two of them as Hank wants to stay in Railton, where his life and career are. Intermixed throughout the show are side stories between the other English department members and imminent layoffs across the college, which Hank refuses to engage with. In the end, Hank decides to help protect his English department by leaking a story about the dean of Railton College Dicky Pope (Kyle MacLachlan), making unnecessary cuts to all the departments to try and get a position at MIT. The show concludes with Hank arriving at Lily’s door in New York presumably to move there with her permanently.
