  • Season 1 Wrap Up
    Nov 10 2020

Wow, what a year it has been. A crazy, crazy year. But these types of years are necessary for the need for self reflection to become apparent. For some the year has been tough, for some a boom, but for most people it has been a year of questions, few answers and lots of unknown paths ahead of us.

Check in with Dwayne and Andrew one last time for 2020, as we debrief on the year and close out season 1 of Secret Men's Business.

  • Healing Through Understanding
    Nov 3 2020

    Podcast 35

    Healing Through Understanding

So many of us need to heal but don’t know where to start. So many of us want to help others heal, but don’t know where to start either. Whether it is our own healing or someone else’s it always comes from the same place, it always starts with understanding. Understanding ourselves, understanding others or understanding more about the world and how it all works.

Without understanding we cannot see what we cannot see, and only through understanding can we see the perspectives needed to free us from the perspectives that cause us to suffer. Don’t forget to catch Dwayne and Andrew as they go deep in helping you better understand what is really going on within.

  • Self Forgiveness - Part 2
    Oct 27 2020

There is one thing that a lot of men have trouble with, it is also the one thing that if left unchecked can be our most self destructive behaviour, and that is our self judgement. Most men give themselves a really hard time, with unrealistic expectations, of themselves, their relationships and what they can or cannot achieve.

But there is a way out of that toxic self generated cycle, and in todays episode we revisit the discussion Dwayne and Andrew had around Self Forgiveness as they take it further, to a deeper level in probably one of their best episodes to date. So grab a cold drink, sit back and relax and have a listen, who knows, it may just change your life.

  • Raising Teenagers
    Oct 20 2020

In our next installment of our Fatherhood series Dwayne and Andrew look at the next stage of the development cycle and that is the grumpy, zombie like teenagers, who like dark rooms, clothes on the floor and if your lucky, a grunt or too each day.

But they are not all that bad, once you learn their language, and how not to trip over a floor full of stuff in the dark. Teenagers need love too, and they also need a Dad more than ever as the boys seek to understand what being a man is really like, and girls learn to hide what’s really going on behind the sweetness of Daddy’s little girl.

It’s time for a real talk, about what is really going on. Listen to Andrew and Dwayne’s yarn today if you are brave and ready to know the truth. Teenagers aren’t really the devil, they just act like it.

  • There is One Superpower available to All
    Oct 13 2020

Superpowers are considered to be part of stories, and the myth that is portrayed about them is that they are not real and that they are only available to the special chosen few. But both Dwayne and Andrew see it different. In fact there is one Superpower that is available to everyone and it is really easy to use.

Listen to Andrew and Dwayne’s yarn today if you are brave and ready to know the truth. Remember you cannot unhear the truth once it has been heard and once you know about this Superpower, you will not only kick yourself for ignoring it but you will start to see it everywhere. In everyone.

  • It’s not your fault
    Oct 6 2020

Today is the day to reset some home truths. We must all accept the fact that we have been lied to. For our entire life. Being confused, not knowing the truth and building your life based on these lies is not your fault. Neither are the consequences you continue to face.

But in listening to this episode you will finally know the truth and in turn you will be, from this point on, not only responsible for your life and your choices but you will also be responsible for the consequences they create.

Listen to Andrew and Dwayne’s yarn today if you are brave and ready to know the truth. Remember you cannot unhear the truth once it has been heard.

  • Redefining Masculinity - Part 2
    Sep 29 2020

We said this needed more, and people asked for it, so here it is. Our next discussion on Redefining Masculinity, and why it is so important in today’s day and age. This is not about shaming Men, or even about them engaging with their feminine side. This is about looking at what Men have become, looking at what works and simple what doesn’t.

Dwayne and Andrew talk about this with a raw candor, that you must hear to connect with. Men have a lot to offer this great work, and if we changed our way ever so gently it will make all the difference, not only to the world, but also to our own lives. You don’t want to miss this.

  • Your Melodrama is Poisoning You
    Sep 22 2020

We have all been there. Tough times. A breakup, bad health, as arsehole boss. We have all had a story of suffering through hardship that we want to tell others, to get them to engage with it, with us. Some of us use these stories as a way of connecting with others, I know I have. But what I didn’t know at the time is that it was slowly poisoning me. Slowly turning people away, and in fact stopping the connection with the relationships which were healthy for me.

Dwayne and Andrew talk this week about our melodrama, and why it is poisoning us and more importantly what we can do about it, when we are stuck with that drama running amok in our own heads. When you break free from your own melodrama, you will find a freedom from it, that will truly change your life.
