  • Hello and welcome to The Shaman Podcast.  I am Mark Ashford.  I am a Registered Usui Tibetan Reiki Master Teacher, a Shaman and author of books and online courses on Reiki and Shamanism. Earth The Earth is one of the five elements of Tibetan shamanism. Earth nurtures and feeds the plants and trees with nutrients and a stable and encouraging place for them to grow. Now is the time to look at your own dreams and goals, plans and thoughts. Look at what you have planted in terms of your desires and dreams yesterday, last week, last month, last year. How are they growing? How can you nurture them?  This is the time to look at your dreams and goals and plant new ones, new ideas, and start what is needed to make them grow, and, like a good gardener work at supporting and helping dreams and goals that have been in the earth for a while. Perhaps some of them need more nutrients to help them grow and blossom, and some will need to be taken away as they have not grown.  But also, like a talented gardener, allow and encourage the ideas that welcome and encourage the ideas that are unexpected, unusual and new. They have just as much a need for nutrients and tending as the ones you planted yourself. Staff The shamans’ staff is very important to him or her. It embodies a spirit that helps and guides them as they practice healing and guiding the soul of one who has passed over. The spirit, of the shaman’s staff also protects and nurtures them. The staff sent to you on this card is not so powerful. You are not a shaman and do not need that power. But you need support. Things may be difficult now, the staff is there for your lean on and steady yourself as you look at what is around you and take assess where you are, where you have been and what it is you want to achieve, or the places you want to go and who you need to meet. The staff may also turn you around and take you back to the start, to the beginning of your particular journey. Maybe the new job is not the best thing for you right now. A relationship that is proving difficult may need simplicity, not more complexity and depth. Is it time to start over with a new foundation that staff will help you achieve?
