Day 24 "Switch the Lens" #LIVINGMYTRUTH Share & Let's Live! #Podcast Series w/ Marlene Dillon Empowerment Specialist Many of us view ourselves through the criticism and expectations that others have of us, that aren't always positive. Many of us are insecure because we constantly view ourselves through the lens of those who didn't see the good in us. However, many of us do have one person in our lives who did see the good, or we can imagine what we wish people saw in us (because we see it in us). We can choose to shift our view. “What if instead of looking at ourselves through the lens of haters and critics, we choose to view ourselves through eyes of love and support?” — Marlene Dillon Empowerment Specialist

  • Day 23 "You're Growing & Becoming" #LIVINGMYTRUTH Share & Let's Live! #Podcast
    Jul 23 2024
Day 23 "You're Growing & Becoming" #LIVINGMYTRUTH Share & Let's Live! #Podcast Series w/ Marlene Dillon Empowerment Specialist Society, family, television, movies, etc. teach us to hate ourselves. They teach us that we are not enough, that we are failing, that the stage we're in is wrong and should be other than it is. The truth of the matter is that we grow individually. We're on our own timelines. We are not in a race. It's more like an expressway. Some of may choose the same lanes to get where we're going.... but there are infinite off roads and exits, and none of them are wrong. We can always relocate if we feel it's not right for us.... But that's not how we're taught. We're taught that we're in a race, we're in competition, opportunities to be who we are designed to be are limited.... But what if that's not true? What if that is a construct to get us to do, be, expect, avoid, worship, support, pay for, etc...? What if the way we are exactly where we're supposed to be right now.... regardless of the discomfort? What if we are both on a journey AND okay where we are? Like when you're on a road trip, as you pass through places on your drive, you're not wrong for being there. It's just part of the journey. What if when we arrive doesn't matter? What if the timeline is also a construct? What if the pressure what put on ourselves to do, to achieve, to arrive at certain times is all... unnecessary? Just thoughts worth considering.... Anyway, today's podcast is a different one—a powerful one—and possibly a life-changing one. So many of us loathe ourselves for not being other than we are... for not being in a different state/situation than we are. Today, I asked for a higher perspective of myself and this is what I received.... Please check out today's podcast if you're curious and this message resonated with you.
