The Shaved Monkey boys are back and they've picked a cracker to start the new year off. In this month's episode they are discussing the classic comedy My Cousin Vinny (1992) that was directed by Jonathan Lynn, written by Dale Launer and starred Marisa Tomei, who won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the film, Joe Pesci, Ralph Macchio and Fred Gwynne.

IT'S CHRISTMAAASSSS! In this festive episode, Glenn and Steve delve into their favourite Christmas films, to get you in the mood for the holiday period. First off is the Will Ferrell classic, Elf (2003) and then they move on to the film that always kicks off Christmas for Glenn, the brilliant Chevy Chase comedy, National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (1989).

All of us at Shaved Monkey Media would like to thank all of our listeners for their support this year and to wish you all a healthy, happy and merry Christmas and New Year.

Note to self: Don't forget to subscribe to the Shaved Monkey Media Podcast!
In this episode, Glenn and Steve discuss the 1998 film Dirty Work, starring the late, great Norm Macdonald. This film is one of the duo's absolute favourites and, so, is well worth a listen.
Steve then scarpers (the work-shy fop) and leaves Glenn on his own in the studio to deliver a brilliant piece on the myth and legend of Dracula, which originated from a discussion the team had earlier in the week.

    Thanks for listening.

In this episode, Steve tries and fails to converse with Glenn in German, but that is soon forgotten as the lads get down to discussing a real gem, Michael Mann's 1995 classic Heat, starring Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro and Val Kilmer. If that wasn't enough, they then muster the energy to talk about the fine actor Michael Keaton, concentrating  on and comparing his roles in Beetlejuice (1988) and Batman (1989). The boys both think Keaton is the finest on-screen Batman, so whether you agree or disagree drop them an email and let them know. They might even chew on a dog for you!

    Sep 19 2022

In this episode, Glenn and Steve have many, many laughs as they take a riotous romp through the wonderful first Police Academy film, which contains some great scenes with one of their favourite onscreen characters: Commandant Eric Lassard. The boys then move on to a discussion of the late, great Robin Williams and his outstanding performances  in Dead Poets Society and Jumanji.

    Aug 22 2022

In this episode, the first in the new monthly format, Glenn and Steve have dedicated the whole episode to the John Landis classic The Blues Brothers. Is it an action adventure comedy or a musical? Will Steve get through the whole podcast without pronouncing any of the cast's names wrong? Will Glenn restrain himself from choking Steve with the lead from his mic? Tune in to find out the answers.

In this episode the guys have an important announcement to make. They then go on to discuss Linda Hamilton's brilliant portrayal of Sarah Conner from Terminator 1 and 2. Glenn has an inspired rant about vomit in movies (it will make more sense when you listen, I promise). The guys then finish with a discussion of the peerless British film: Hot Fuzz.

First off, in this episode the guys talk about the legendary actor John Goodman, focusing on his mesmeric performances in The Big Lebowski and Barton Fink. Then Glenn has a rant about criticism of the special effects in 80s films.  Finally, the boys decide its time to nut up or shut up and discuss in length the brilliant Zombieland.
