    Jun 25 2024

I want to bring you an interview with two good friends and former clients of mine who are experts in cultivating a strong relationship or marriage while you simultaneously grow your business.

This is a topic that we’ve been talking about more in our client community as women are looking to call in BOTH love and money, and I speak a lot on the business and money side of things, but I am bringing you a couple who has devoted their life to helping you elevate your relationship and marriage so you can have the best of both worlds.

Today my guests are Kim and Matthew Hoffman. Kim is the co-founder and co-host of Kickass Couples Podcast and an expert at being a kickass wife. Kim is an experienced, fulfilled, and successful wife who inspires couples to pursue a meaningful, gratifying relationship with their soulmate. Kim’s passion is to teach imperfect couples how to take a relationship from mediocrity to a powerful, committed, joy-filled, love affair. Matthew Hoffman is a national speaker, trainer, author, and kickass relationship coach who empowers men and women to become mighty and effective communicators through his expert guidance, business experience, and the vast resources of Kickass Couples Nation.

[10:40] - Our families and upbringing play a role in our marriage. Sometimes these things show up as baggage.

[15:36] - We come to any new relationship with triggers.

[18:57] - Mediocre relationships can be transformed into something red hot.

[20:20] - We need to be intentional about spending time together even when life is pulling us in different directions. We need to prioritize our spouse.

[28:49] - You have the right to share how you want your partner to show up, especially if you are showing up for them.

[30:49] - When you have success in a personal relationship, it overflows into your professional relationships, too.

[32:14] - If you are growing but your partner is not, there needs to be a conversation.

[35:35] - Sometimes, we are in different seasons. We have to support our spouse during their times in the spotlight.

  • 348 - Better Than the Best You Could Imagine
    Jun 4 2024

Our imagination is limitless, yet we place restrictions on ourselves all the time. Often, we don’t even realize the ways in which we limit ourselves through the automatic reflexes we've developed over time. These subconscious habits can prevent us from reaching our full potential, and today, we're going to learn how to overcome them. Once we become aware of these self-imposed barriers, we then hold the responsibility to decide what to do with them. This awareness is the first step towards unlocking a life that is better than the best you could imagine.

Today’s episode is something that is on my heart. We have the power to open ourselves up, but we’ve been conditioned for these things to not feel right. We need to normalize things feeling good in our lives and once we open up, it can be better than the best you could ever imagine

    Show Notes:

[2:14] - We don’t even realize the ways in which we limit ourselves through automatic reflexes we’ve developed.

[4:40] - Listen to examples from coaching calls that show that you can have more than you ever imagined.

[6:38] - When we allow ourselves to open ourselves up to how good life can get, the limitations we put on ourselves no longer hinder us.

[7:47] - Once we are aware of the limitations we put on ourselves, we are responsible for deciding what to do with them.

[10:03] - This topic comes from the first quadrant: Mind Over Matter.

[11:28] - What would “better than the best you could imagine” look like?

[13:03] - If you were to harness the power of your imagination, what can “better than you can imagine” even be?

[14:36] - Stop looking outside of you for things that you think will make you happy.

[16:32] - How do we know if a goal is soul-aligned?

[18:09] - If it has been a long time since you’ve listened to yourself, the answer to these questions will be hard to find.

[19:37] - We need to normalize and stabilize things in our lives feeling good.

[22:44] - An affirmation: “It is safe and normal for me to be blissfully happy, peaceful, and stable.”

[25:53] - There are a lot of different strategies to normalize this idea. As good starts flowing in at a whole new level, we need to simply accept it.

[29:10] - If we haven’t made the right connections with money, when we are in the struggle, we will experience lack.

  • 347 - Best Networking and Sales Strategies for 2024 with Trevor Houston
    May 28 2024

I’m excited to bring you a new friend and a super connector today on the show who is going to talk about how to network, stand out from the crowd and build resilience in your career and finances whether you are in corporate or an entrepreneur.

I got introduced to Trevor recently by a mutual friend, Amberly Lago, who has been on the show before, and she said you have to meet Trevor and connect with him.

Trevor has built a huge media presence as the host of the “Who Ya Know Show”, and has interviewed people like Grant and Elena Cardone, Tim Story, Heather Monahan, who is a former client of mine and has also been a guest on this show, and more. Trevor is also the CEO of ClearPath Wealth Strategies and has been recognized as a top 50 entrepreneur to watch according to Grit Daily.

There’s a phrase that I have seen come true in my life over and over again, which is “grace opens doors that hard work never could.” I think about the biggest moments of my career and life, those moments where it felt like pure grace where something came together or an opportunity happened that I never could have dreamed of, and it was always based on pure grace - but that grace was often spawned by some sort of connection I had who helped me in ways I never could have accomplished with pure hard work.

So the power of connections, building your brand and resilience is critical whether you're in corporate America or an entrepreneur, and Trevor is going to help us dive deeper into those areas in this episode.

    Show Notes:

[3:13] - Trevor shares his background and what created his passion is helping others become more resilient.

[6:16] - He could see the same anxiety and stress he was going through in others. He felt led to give back and serve.

[8:02] - When we are seeking abundance, we’re really seeking freedom.

[9:14] - Trevor had to transform his life. His book focuses on how to make a transformation.

[10:35] - The first step is to make a decision. Some decisions are easy but some feel impossible.

[12:37] - Find a place to place your energy.

[15:27] - A victim mentality is a cancer. Accountability is crucial.

[16:54] - Reflect on what you can control. What can you do better?

[20:11] - You are the only one that can give yourself permission to change.

[24:34] - What do you already have that you can work with? Don’t look for what is missing.

    [26:18] - Relationships are everything.

[28:57] - Think about ways you can make someone else’s life better. The law of reciprocity means it will come back around to you.

[33:34] - Things happen for you, not to you.

[37:09] - Trevor shares the 7 C’s of cash flow.

[39:25] - How do we stand out in a saturated market?

[43:50] - Video comments and personalized content makes a huge difference.

[47:02] - Trevor shares his advice for overcoming rejection.
