• A reminder for wildfire prevention by celebrating Smokey's 80th

    To celebrate Smokey Bear’s 80th Birthday, the USDA Forest Service is providing a year-long celebration.

    The Mark Twain National Forest will have displayed artwork of the original cartoon drawings of Smokey Bear through July 12th. The event will also focus on Forest Service staff, educational content, commemorative memorabilia, and special appearances by the legendary bear.
