  • Summary

  • In 1962, President John F. Kennedy signed a proclamation that designated May 15 as Peace Officers Memorial Day and the week in which that date falls as Police Week. Currently, tens of thousands of law enforcement officers from around the world converge on Washington, DC to participate in many planned events that honor those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice.

This year marks the 36th annual candlelight vigil, this year 282 fallen officers in all were added to the national law enforcement memorial wall. Join the Co-host Chiefs live on Thursday at 6PM CST. As they discuss National Police Week and the impact the events have on fallen officers' families across the country. Please join in on this important conversation.
