  • Summary

  • Film and television synopsis & "review"— granted I am nobody special. I just won't ever be satisfied unless there is something to b*tch and moan about... even if that puts our favorite films at risk.

  • Is There a Verb for Taxidermy? [#61] (featuring Jordan Holder)
    Apr 13 2023

    At about 2:19 the episode officially begins.

    Guys, I am super stoked for today’s episode; Number 61 is here, and we have a guest!!

    I have to admit I had nothing prepared from Reddit to record this week. I was thinking of hitting up someone to come over and record.

    But podcasts aren’t that easy— when it comes to others’ time.

    I’m so thankful I held onto this and didn’t throw away the damn thing when the audio wasn’t working.

    Oh, by the way— with over 3.7M Tik-Tok views and chasing a dream in taxidermy, this week’s guest is also my friend Jordan Holder.

    Find him on instagram or tik-tok:

    @xgrimshopx

    Shoutout to his mentor as well: Reno!

    @roadkillreno

    I don’t know if they have a tik-tok, but that is their instagram handle.

    This episode is from Tuesday, September 13th, 2022. When recorded, there was cross-bleeding on both of our microphones because I never plugged in headphones in an open space, but I found software that helped with this for just $12–so shoutout to a couple of Lincoln’s and a couple of Washington’s. There are some dead spots however, but only a few though!!

    Jordan and I were supposed to re-record this next week actually. I sure hope he’s down to do another one! Maybe it’ll be more of a hang, maybe he’ll have some updates on his career. I don’t know— either way I’m looking forward to it.

    Jordan highlights his career thus far such as how he got into it, moving to LA, working with his mentor Reno, and what his goals are. I could have been a better interviewer, but we all know I suck at that stuff, so further into the episode it all turns more into a hang.

    Jordan Holder is an inspiration to me, and has been nothing but nice to me so I’m glad he took the time to do this, and I’m looking forward to meeting up with him next week!

    Going forward, I want to challenge myself and podcast with others like most podcasts and keep the solo ones to a minimum.

    I’m sure when I move to Chicago this summer— I’ll meet plenty of comedians at the mic’s I can bring on.

    As well as the comedians here in the Springs I’d like to get on before I move.

    Also my great friend Robert who lives in Chicago is excited to give a helping hand in hanging and cohosting.

    So we’ll see.

    Half-Completed Thoughts will always be my shape-shifting train-wreck no matter the adjustments.

    But just enjoy this gem I was able to salvage and more to come.

    Oh, I thought it would be quirky to do the episode in black and white because this was in the past, but it helped my colorblind ass a lot in post production.

    I think going forward the eps will be in black and white— clips too. Sorry if that’s turn off. Remember you can listen to the podcast “anywhere you get your podcasts from” if that’s bothersome.

    But until I have the revenue to hire non-colorblind’s doing the legwork in post-production— we’re stuck in the olden days.

    Enjoy guys.
