  • How can we make our waters safer?
    Jun 12 2024

Professor Simon Jackson from Molendotech in Bristol talks about the important water-testing technology that lets you check water quality right in the field, with results in just 15 minutes. In the past, testing water quality could take up to 48 hours and had to be done in a lab. The Bacterisk kit is super portable—it fits in a briefcase—so water utilities and other stakeholders can easily test water quality on the spot.

  • How to get business investment
    Feb 29 2024

We're dropping some serious knowledge on this episode of the South West Tech Daily podcast.

Shoutouts to Scott Preece and Brett Lambe for turning the usually boring (sorry!) IP and investment laws into a lively chat. These guys are the real MVPs, so it's no wonder they got the nod for Tech South West's Growth Forge program – which is helping South West businesses with mentorship to scale.

Lucy Paine is on with us too, juggling more tech hats than you've seen on one person. She spills the tea on business development and is also a mentor at Growth Forge.

And then there's Ben Cooper, the South West's go-to angel, putting out the call for more angels to join the squad because it's rewarding and you get tax benefits. If you reckon you've got what it takes, hit up Angel Investors Bristol: https://www.angelinvestorsbristol.co.uk/
